The blues have being in the market in search of what is perceived as an ideal replacement for the void in the team left by the departure of Belgian Maestro Eden Hazard who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019.
The winter signing of  Christian Pulisic looked like the perfect deal that will bring an ideal Eden-like player, but fitness concerns means the Captain America influence is reduced.
The Stamford Bridge outfit were linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho as a replacement of the aforementioned Eden Hazard.
According to Football.london, Sancho prefers a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United. This has prompted The Blues to look elsewhere, hence, the link to Philip Coutinho

According to Goal.com, Former Brazilian International and Barcelona  legend Rivaldo, suggested that Coutinho could get back to his best at Stamford Bridge.

The proposed deal may not go through as a result of the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, which have seen most clubs consider paycut of their Players’ wages.
Chelsea FC may not pay the asking price of the Player as FC Barcelona will want to recuperate at least the 145million pounds they spent to acquire the Brazilian from Liverpool. It would also be hard to see the former Annfield faithful playing for Liverpool FC’s rivals Chelsea FC.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for the time and observing what happens next.
