Leganes is a solid team known their defensive astuteness, though playing against FC Barcelona without Defensive Nigerian talisman Kenneth Omeruo, will always prove to be a difficult task for the Madrid based side.
However, they had Awaziem as one of their three center halves alongside Bustinza and Rodrigo. Despite going five at the back, Leganes could not stop FC Barcelona from scoring in the 49th minute through Ansu Fati off the assist of Junior Firpo.

First half ended 1-0 in favour of the home side, FC Barcelona eventually scored in the 69th minute when Lionel Messi scored from the penalty spot to help Barcelona to a 2-0 win over Leganes.

Awaziem played the entire game, he lost possession 8 times and failed to will the two aerial duels he contested for. He made 3 clearances for the away side and was handed a yellow card in the 82nd minute for a tactical foul.
Leganes will play RCD Mallorca on the 19 of June, at exactly 6:30pm Nigerian time. Hopefully, Awaziem could have a better appearance for the team.
