After narrowly defeating Celta Vigo by a goal to nil in the dying moments of the game, Villarreal CF faced RCD Mallorca this time at the Yellow Submarine Stadium.

Samuel Chukwueze who was making his first start since the lockdown in Europe, started the game alongside the likes of Carlos Bacca, Paco Alcacer and midfield maestro Santi Carzola.
It was Villarreal CF, who however, scored the only goal of the game through star forward Carlos Bacca off the assist of Nigerian youngster Samuel Chukwueze, who having breezed passed a couple of players in the right wing squared the ball for the Columbian to score the only goal of the game.
Samuel Chukwueze went on to complete the complete 90 minutes of action while the goal scorer Bacca was substituted along side Carzola, Moreno and Alcacer.
Chukwueze completed 7 successful dribbles out of a possible 10, had a shot blocked and another off target. He made 62 touches of the ball, made 26 accurate passes and had 76% pass accuracy. He won 13 of his 19 ground duels.
Villarreal CF will be facing Granada on the 19 of June, 2020 at the home of the Granada. Hopefully Chukwueze is handed his second straight start when they face Granada since the lockdown.
