The Pandemic that ravaged the entire World have actually put certain clubs in tight corners. One of such clubs is Chelsea FC.
With many of the Senior members of the Chelsea FC squad approaching the end of their contracts this summer, the club have been somewhat reluctant offering new contracts to these players.

Having recently agreed deals for the extension of the contracts of Willy Caballero and Olivier Giroud, it was paramount for the club to find a way to extend the deals of another set of important old guards, Willian and Pedro especially now that the season will be played beyond 30th of June, 2020.
On the 24th of June, 2020, Chelsea posted on their official website, www.chelseafc.com, that they have officially agreed contract extension for Willian and Pedro, so that the duo could play beyond the 30th of June on their respective contracts and by so doing they will complete the remainder of the season with the club.
This will see both players play for Chelsea FC to the very end of the Premier League season, which will be concluded in July, 2020.
The obvious reason why Chelsea isn’t offering a full season contract extension is because of the signing of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and also because the club already have like for like replacement for the duo of Willian and Pedro in the mould of Callum Hudson-odoi and Christian Pulisic.
Willian, 31, have proven himself as a top performer for Chelsea, scoring twice from outside the box against Liverpool FC and Everton before the Lockdown in Europe. Similarly, Pedro, 32, is a player full of experience and pace even for his age, and pops up with goals when the club needs it.

It will be somewhat difficult for Chelsea to replace these guys especially for the tireless work ethic they offer for the team by charging down opposition players when they are not in possession.
Good luck to these two guys when they eventually leave Chelsea FC, come the end of the season.
