Arjen Robben is have being announced as an FC Groningen player for the 2020/2021 season after the signing was announced on the club website.

Arjen Robben is joining FC Groningen where he initially started his career, he managed only 18 goals for the club in 52 appearance in what will now be seen as a step up for a somewhat glorious career. Robben featured for PSV before joining Chelsea FC, winning two English Premier League titles before he moved to Real Madrid where he was a bit part player as a result of persistent injuries.

It was at Bayern Munich that the iconic left footed Netherlands International’s career blossomed as he contributed both goals and assists for the Bavarians all through his stay.
One of his greatest show was his iconic goal and celebration against Manchester United in the Champions League. He helped the Alianz Stadium outfit to also secure Champions League title in 2013 by scoring the Winning goal against Borussia Dortmund.
Robben featured 201 times for Bayern scoring 99 goals. He also feature 96 times for the National team and scored 37 goals. He is therefore expected to bring experience and goals to this FC Groningen side. Age might not be on his side as Robben is 36 years old.
