Chelsea have being by far one of the busiest Premier League sides in the Transfer market having tied up deals that saw Werner and Hakim Ziyech join the blues and are also rumoured to have agreed a deal in principle that will see Emerson leave the Club.
Chelsea are in the market for a left back to cover for the void expected to be created by the imminent departure of Emerson at left back.
The Blues have being linked with top left backs in Europe, which includes the likes of Ben Chilwell (who happens to be Frank Lampard’s primary target), Reguilon of Sevila, Nicholas Tagliafico of Ajax and recently Alphonse Davies (rumours) after the Canada international claimed his Father is a Chelsea fan.

1. Chillwell knows the Premier League well
The Premier League is one of the Leagues around Europe that is very demanding when it comes Physicality and speed of play. Chillwell who have a lot of experience playing in the Premier League would be a good buy irrespective of the hefty price tag.

2. The Stats speak for itself
Stats cannot be ignored when considering the quality of any player. This is what one considers even when scouting players.
Reguilon have managed to feature in more games than Ben Chilwell this season but the Englishman seems to have a similar stats to the Spaniard.
Kindly, compare and contrast the stats and you will understand why Lampard is insistent on the Blues getting a deal over the line for the Leicester City left back.

3. Nationality
Some fans have said it times without number that what Ole Gunnar and Frank are doing at their respective clubs is to build a team made up of core England players. This assertion could be true, considering the number of English players both of the managers have managed to integrate into their sides. Consider the likes of Greenwood, Mount, Reece James, Tomori and so on. Remember United are currently chasing an already established England International in Jadon Sancho.
Expect Lampard to choose Chilwell ahead of Sergio Reguilon despite the Spaniard likely going to cost the Blues around €30million and Chilwell have being rumoured to cost the Blues nothing less than £80million.
