Since the Transfer window opened there have being lots of speculations regarding some Nigerian players plying their trade in Europe.
Sportmata’s Matheson Efeni makes a list of top three Nigerians that are likely not going to feature for their current sides when the New season kicks off.
1. Kelechi Iheanacho
The young Nigerian forward have being in fine form since the restart of the Premier League scoring a couple of goals but it have been widely reported that Iheanacho is among the list of players Brendan Rogers want out of the club come next season.
The Foxes are said to be in the market for a Striker, with the name of Celtic youngster Eduord appearing on virtually every publication. Brendan Rogers want to reunite with his former player who opened his Scottish season campaign with a fine hat trick last week.
Aston Villa who cemented their hope of remaining in the Premier League by earning a vital draw away from home in their final day clash against Westham United, are in need of a striker.
According to Goal, Aston Villa are interested in taking the 23year old Nigerian International to Villa Park. If Iheanacho, eventually joins the Villans, he will command a fee not less than what Leicester City paid to Manchester City for his services in 2017.
Iheanacho left Manchester City for Leicester City in a £25milliion deal and it will be expected that the Foxes will want to recuperate that amount back from his sale to any potential buyer.
Iheanacho who was relegated to the bench due the insane form of Jamie Vardy, still managed to score 5 goals and provide 2 assists in 20 League games.
2. Wilfred Ndidi
Another player set to leave the Foxes, is Wilfred Ndidi. The Nigerian have being linked with several clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United and very much recently, Paris Saint Germain.
To further confirm the Paris outfit’s interest in the Nigeria Midfield Strong man, the Club is set to sell Idrissa Gueye. With such move, this could mean that PSG wants to create room for their new signing, Wilfred Ndidi.
Recall that Leicester City were once reported to have agreed a deal in principle for William Carvalho of Real Betis, further suggesting that the Foxes too are also preparing for life after Ndidi. Ndidi will cost any potential buyer nothing less than £50million for the player to leave the King Power Stadium.
3. Emmanuel Dennis
The young Nigerian who made his International debut for Nigeria against Ukraine and Brazil this year is another Nigeria player set for a move away from his team.
The Youngster came into spot light after his awesome performance in the Champions League against Spanish Giants where he eventually scored both of Club Brugge’s goals on the night and performed the Ronaldo’s “Siiii” celebrations in front of the Madrid fans.
Many Clubs have expressed interest in the Nigerian but the clubs that are set to battle for his signature are said to be Arsenal Football Club who are looking for a replacement for Aubameyang and Premier League New comers, Leeds United.
The Nigerian will cost any potential buyer nothing short of €15million. The youngster is a player in high demands, we do not expect to see him at Club Brugge next season. He can play in all three attacking positions as he scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in 20 league games last season.
