OPINION: Forget Havertz, Ziyech or Werner, Pulisic is the Chelsea star after Hazard

There is so much fuss made about the transfer of Havertz to Chelsea, with many people touting the German International to be the star man in this new Chelsea FC line up. Same goes for the other two new arrivals at the Bridge in Ziyech and Werner.

The German was signed from Leverkusen on an initial fee of £62million with the deal potentially rising to £80million, such huge Transfer fee have left a large section of Chelsea fans thinking he is probably going to be an instant hit at the club and undoubtedly the star at the Bridge.

There is no disputing the fact that Havertz is a top talent and have a huge potential in him to hit the ground running at Chelsea but the young man still needs time to understand the English Premier League.

Pulisic on the other hand who joined Chelsea in the winter transfer window of 2018 (was immediately loaned back to Dortmund for the remainder of the campaign) have become Premier League fans favorite and a nightmare for defenders in the EPL.

The USA International fondly called the Captain America of his Nation have a wealth of experience from his time with Dortmund and the USMNT having featured in the Champions League for Dortmund.

The American despite suffering a lot of injuries during his first full campaign at the Bridge still managed to pull off heroic stuff on quite a number of occasions. He was a thorn in the flesh of the Liverpool FC defenders in the UEFA super Cup loss earlier in the season but subsequently lost his place in the Blues line up.

The Ajax incident that saw him come off the bench and maraud the Ajax defenses before eventually setting up Batshuayi for the vital winner at the Amsterdam Arena to give Chelsea FC all vital three points proved to be his life line as he worked his way back into the Chelsea starting eleven.

A week later, the Captain America was on hand to hand Chelsea FC all three points as he scored a surprise perfect hat-trick (one with the left, right and the head) against Burnley. Subsequently, he was made a regular starter by Lampard who seems to have little faith in the Blues star at the beginning of the campaign.

Hazard had an awesome first season with the Blues in 2012/2013 and right now Pulisic seems to have pulled up similar stats to the Belgian Maestro albeit playing fewer number of games for Chelsea FC. The stats are there for every one to see and with Pulisic still very much adapting to the Premier League same cannot be said of a new EPL boy in Havertz who has a lot to prove.

Pulisic who have done alot to secure deservingly the number 10 Jersey at Chelsea is no doubt the star man at Chelsea at the moment not Havertz or Werner who have alot on their hand to prove to the Chelsea faithfuls and the entire Premier League.

Werner, Ziyech and Havertz are almost certain to shine in this new look Blues set up under Frank Lampard but Pulisic is the main man at the moment. Barring injuries, Pulisic will certainly be a significant factor in the Blues push for silverwares across all competitions this season.

They (Werner, Ziyech and Havertz) played more games than Pulisic incase you are thinking otherwise right now and Pulisic have the luxury of facing a stubborn and resilient set of defenders in the EPL, hence, he has the upper hand due to his one year experience in the Premiership.
