Dallas Land a Game-Changing Beast: Cowboys Sign Two-Time Super Bowl Winning Defender

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are still stinging from missing the playoffs in 2024. It was a disappointing season, to say the very least.

Heading into the offseason, it has been expected that Jones would be aggressive. That may not end up being the case.

Recently, Jones spoke out about his plans for free agency and his approach isn’t exactly what the fans would like to see.

“I don’t think aggressive is the right word. … I’m not looking at free agency as a place to fill voids,” Jones said.

Obviously, that is subject to change, but fans should not expect to see the Cowboys spending all of their money. They will need to figure out how to get a Micah Parsons contract done as well.

Garrett Podell of CBS Sports has made a prediction that would see Dallas opt to spend big money on a key free agent. He thinks that Kansas City Chiefs star linebacker Nick Bolton will end up with the Cowboys.

“The Cowboys also have a big need at inside linebacker with DeMarvion Overshown recovering from another season-ending knee injury and veteran Eric Kendricks hitting the open market,” Podell wrote.

“Bolton attending Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas just down the road from The Star — the Cowboys’ facility — and being in the middle of his twenties makes him primed to come home to Dallas.”

Adding a talent like Bolton would be a huge step in the right direction for Dallas. He has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs and has been a big part of both of those runs.

During the 2024 NFL season, Bolton ended up recording 106 total tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and interception, and six defended passes.

At 24 years old, Bolton would be well worth the Cowboys spending to bring him in.
