The Kansas City Chiefs have a future Hall of Fame tight end on their roster.
You know him, Travis Kelce, also known as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend. But there’s a suggestion out there that K.C. could start looking for Kelce’s replacement in the trade market.
And according to analysis by NFL Trade Rumors, the Chiefs could look to the team that just beat them in the Super Bowl.
NFL Trade Rumors predicts the Chiefs could trade a fourth-round pick to acquire tight end Dallas Goedert.
The analysis points out that Kelce had the lowest yards per catch of his career in 2024 by more than two yards per reception.
“Even if he’s due for a bounce-back season, it would be wise for the Chiefs to prepare for life after Kelce,” NFL Trade Rumors writes.
Goedert was dynamic down the stretch and into the postseason for Jalen Hurts, and the 30-year old could be a star with Patrick Mahomes for years to come.
Goedert is entering the final year of his contract and is due $14 million.
