The Las Vegas Raiders still have a few pressing needs that can be addressed through free agency, including wide receiver. The team lacks high-end talent and production in the position group outside of Jakobi Meyers and must find another playmaker for quarterback Geno Smith.

The wide receiver market only has a few impact players left, and Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton believes the Raiders should look to sign Cleveland Browns free agent receiver Elijah Moore.

“Elijah Moore is one of the few free agents in his prime with room for growth. He’s played two seasons with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, teams with suboptimal quarterback situations over the last few years,” Moton wrote.

“On a team with a stable quarterback situation, Moore could see a significant spike in production. He can line up out wide or in the slot and make plays out of the backfield. Because of Moore’s age and versatility, he should be atop the free-agent list for receiver-needy teams looking to capitalize on a player’s upside,” Moton added.

Moore isn’t a high-level player and didn’t have a fantastic 2024 campaign, but the 25-year-old hasn’t missed a game since 2022 and could be due for a breakout season if placed in the right situation. The former Ole Miss standout hauled in a career-high 61 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown last year.

Adding Moore to the offense would be a savvy move by the Raiders, as the former second-round pick would bring some much-needed speed to the offense and pair well with Meyers and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers. Additionally, Moore will be cheap to sign, as Spotrac projects the dynamic receiver will land a one-year deal worth $4.5 million on the open market.

Elijah Moore won’t completely solve Las Vegas’ issues at receiver. However, general manager John Spytek should sign him to a team-friendly deal and provide Chip Kelly’s offense with a playmaker who hasn’t reached his full potential yet and has blazing speed.
