In an unprecedented act of generosity and compassion, Cleveland Browns defensive superstar Myles Garrett has stunned the sports world by donating his entire $25 million bonus and sponsorship deal to charity. The announcement came earlier today in a heartfelt press conference, where Garrett emphasized the importance of giving back to communities in need.

“There are millions of people struggling every day — families without homes, kids without food, veterans without support,” Garrett said. “If I can be a small part of the solution, then I owe it to them to do everything I can.”

Garrett’s donation will be distributed among several national and local organizations, including homeless relief programs, food banks, children’s hospitals, and veterans’ services. Among the largest beneficiaries is the Hope Horizons Foundation, a Cleveland-based nonprofit dedicated to helping families transition out of homelessness.

His decision comes at a time when many NFL players are using their platforms for social good, but few have gone to such lengths. The $25 million, which includes his latest roster bonus and a newly inked sponsorship deal with a major athletic brand, is believed to be one of the largest single-player charitable contributions in NFL history.

Teammates, coaches, and fans alike have flooded social media with praise and admiration.

“Myles has always been more than just an elite athlete,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “He’s a leader, a role model, and a true champion — not just on the field, but off of it too.”

This is not Garrett’s first philanthropic endeavor. Over the years, he has supported literacy campaigns, funded youth athletic programs, and championed mental health initiatives. However, today’s announcement sets a new bar for athlete-driven impact.

When asked what inspired the monumental gesture, Garrett’s answer was simple: “Because I can. And because I should.”
