In a surprising turn of events, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has submitted his resignation letter, stepping down from his position effective immediately. The announcement comes just months after leading the team to their second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

Sirianni, who joined the Eagles in 2021, guided the team to a 14–3 record in the 2024 season, culminating in a 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. His tenure was marked by a strong emphasis on team culture, focusing on principles such as toughness, attention to detail, and unity.

The Eagles organization has expressed support for Sirianni, acknowledging his significant contributions to the team’s success. Assistant Coach Brian Johnson is expected to step in as interim head coach as the Eagles navigate this unexpected transition.

The Eagles are set to begin the 2025 season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 4. The team now faces the challenge of moving forward without their longtime head coach.
