Bosa was released by the Chargers in March, and the Bills moved quickly to sign the 29-year-old pass rusher.
With Bosa joining the club, other former players lost their roster spots, including pass rusher Von Miller.
Miller spent the last three seasons with the Bills, participating in 36 games and recording 14 sacks.
Miller is a 36-year-old, eight-time Pro Bowler, so his age and struggle to remain healthy in recent seasons are likely reasons he isn’t returning to the Bills.
Even though Miller isn’t contracted with any team, it appears like he wants to play, and he may join a young squad in need of seasoned support.
The Chicago Bears should be a better team this season than they were last year, and they could use all the defensive help they can get.

Matthew Schmidt of Chicago Bears SI believes the Bears should try to sign Miller.
“Chicago’s pass rush was very disappointing in 2024, thanks much in part to edge rusher Montez Sweat battling through injuries while logging just 5.5 sacks,” Schmidt pointed out. “The Bears did get Dayo Odeyingbo in free agency, but they could need to bring in another player to provide some depth.
“How about Von Miller?” Miller is still available despite his Hall of Fame status, and while he is clearly not the same overpowering force he once was, he still manage to record six sacks with the Buffalo Bills in 2024. At this point, the 36-year-old is a specialist who should only appear on pass-rushing plays. That much is understood. But that’s all Chicago needs to help Sweat and Odeyingbo out. The Bears can hope for a breakout season from Austin Booker, but it would be wise for them to get some veteran insurance in case Sweat is hurt again or Booker fails to materialize.
Chicago has a little more than $15 million in cap space available, which should be enough to sign Miller, who would likely settle for a cheap one-year contract at this point in the summer.
The Bills Could Maybe Bring Miller Back.
It would be wise for the Bears to try to sign Miller and see what he can provide to the squad.
Chicago is in a different position than the Bills since they are only trying to make the playoffs, whereas Buffalo is seeking to win the Super Bowl.
If Miller comes to Chicago and proves that the game has passed him by, the Bears will not miss out on anything. However, if Miller can boost the defense, the squad may make the playoffs.
Miller might still return to the Bills, but only if Buffalo loses some pass rushers to injury during the season and Miller remains on the free agent list.
