The Baltimore Ravens kicked off their preseason on Thursday night, and the team did what they always do: win. Coming out on top 24-16, the game was a showcase for Baltimore’s young talent and they delivered, making massive plays on offense, defense, and special teams.
One of the biggest defensive plays of the game came from fourth-year edge defender David Ojabo. Coming off the edged unblocked, Ojabo delivered a massive hit on Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, sending the QB out the game with a dislocated pinky.
That was one of Ojabo’s two tackles in his limited snaps, and Ravens fans started to wonder if this is the year the defender takes his game to another level. While that could be the case, one analyst thinks Baltimore should consider moving Ojabo before the start of the year.
In a recent Bleacher Report piece, that was released prior to Thursday’s preseason game, Kristopher Knox named one player each team should make available for trade. For Baltimore, the answer was Ojabo.

Knox’s argument was pretty simple, Ojabo’s time in Baltimore has been impacted by injuries, and he’s not with the starting unit entering 2025. With that in mind, the writer says it makes sense to see what the Ravens could get in return for the edge defender.
With Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh leading the pass-rushing rotation and rookie second-rounder Mike Green also in the mix, Ojabo may face limited opportunities in his contract year. He’d probably benefit from a different situation, and the Ravens could save $1.8 million in cap space by moving him.
