Brisbane Broncos superstar Tamika Upton has become a two-time Dally M Medallist after pipping teammate Julia Robinson in a thrilling count on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old, who made the off-season switch to the Broncos from the Knights, claimed her second win after previously taking NRLW’s top personal award in 2023.

Robinson looked in line for an upset but the decision by Broncos coach Scott Prince to rest the 27-year-old in Round 10 ended up costing her a chance at glory.
In the second last match of the regular season with Robinson on the sidelines, Upton scored two tries and polled five points out of a possible six to secure the win.
Robinson was visibly disappointed but smiled in support of her teammates as she was honoured by the crowd in Sydney.
Upton became the first player to win the prestigious award twice, setting records in 2025 with a staggering 18 tries in 11 games.
She paid tribute to Robinson in her acceptance speech.
“Julia Robinson, she’s been incredible this year,” Upton said.
“We’ve seen what she’s done not playing in her preferred position, She deserved it as well.
Upton then reflected on her journey from a touch football player in Rockhampton to the summit of NRL.
“I was about 50kg ringing wet back in my touch football days,” she said.
“Touch football is a great pathway. So many elite players in NRLW and NRL both have the pathway in touch footy.”
“I have to credit my parents a lot for that, they were my coaches all the way through touch footy. Definitely got a fair few hard lessons but they taught me everything I know.”
