I WILL FOREVER CHERISH YOU ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

โ€œWhen I first met Mary, Iโ€™ll admitโ€”she wasnโ€™t what I had imagined. I had my head completely wrapped up in footy, and I wasnโ€™t looking for anything else. Mary, though, was different. She had this spark about her. She was confident, energetic, and had no problem speaking her mind. At the time, I wasnโ€™t sure how to take it.

But slowly, without me even realising it, she began to change things. She challenged the way I thought, the way I saw myself, and the way I lived outside the game. She didnโ€™t treat me like a footballerโ€”she treated me like a person. And that mattered more than I ever expected.

There were days when training was brutal, when losses hurt more than words could explain, and when the pressure felt overwhelming. Mary was there through all of it. Not trying to fix everything, not asking for explanationsโ€”just listening, understanding, and standing beside me when I needed it most.

She reminded me that life doesnโ€™t stop at the sideline. That thereโ€™s more to who I am than wins, losses, and headlines. She made me laugh when I took myself too seriously and grounded me when everything felt like it was spinning too fast.

What I admire most about her is her strength. Sheโ€™s fearless in her own way. She believes deeply, loves honestly, and never pretends to be someone sheโ€™s not. Being around her made me want to be betterโ€”not just as a player, but as a man.

Love isnโ€™t always loud or perfect. Sometimes itโ€™s quiet support after a long day. Sometimes itโ€™s tough conversations. Sometimes itโ€™s simply knowing someone has your back no matter what. Mary gave me that, and more.

I may have thought footy was everything once, but she showed me balance. She showed me patience. She showed me what real partnership looks like. And for that, Iโ€™ll always be grateful.

No matter where the journey takes usโ€”on or off the fieldโ€”one thing will never change: I will forever cherish you.โ€ ๐Ÿ’–
