The Parramatta Eels gathered last night at CommBank Stadium to honor the upcoming 2025 season during the celebrated Ken Thornett Medal night. Players, coaches, staff, partners, and special guests joined together for an evening filled with awards, reflections, and fun.
The most prestigious award of the night, the Ken Thornett Medal for the NRL Player of the Year, went to Jack Wiliams. His consistent performance, strong leadership, and skill on the field made him shine throughout the season. In a year that had its ups and downs, he represented the toughness and passion that the Blue and Gold are famous for.

Other important awards presented included the Nathan Hindmarsh Players’ Player, Ray Price Community Award, Jack Gibson Coaches’ Award, and the Eric Grothe Snr Rookie of the Year, each showcasing the importance of dedication, teamwork, and helping the community.

Besides the awards, the event celebrated the connections between different generations, roles, and backgrounds, showing how strong the club’s culture is, united by their badge.

As the 2025 NRL season comes to an end, the Ken Thornett Medal night was a great way to honor everyone’s hard work at the club and to think about the future with hope and togetherness.
The Eels will also be honoring their NRLW players after the 2025 Women’s Premiership season wraps up.
