Match Report: PSG prepare for Atlanta Clash with Le Havre trashing

The latest Ligue 1 Champions have been drawn against the UEFA Champions League surprised package in Italy, Atalanta.

The French Champions have not played a single game since the suspension of the French League in early March, 2020 due to the Novel Corona Virus out break across the globe.

Their opponents for the UEFA Champions League Quarter finals on the other hand have being playing week in week out. They recently drew 2-2 with Juventus at the Alianz Stadium courtesy of goals from Duvan Zapata and Ruslan Marlinosky for the away side and a double from the penalty spot from Ronaldo for the home side.

In order for Paris Saint Germain players to stay fit ahead of the clash with Atalanta in Portugal, the French Champions have organized a few friendly clashes.

One of such clash is the one played against Ligue 2 side Le Havre. The encounter was a complete white wash in favour of the French Ligue 1 Champions.

The onslaught started with Mauro Icardi scoring in the 8th minute of the encounter, the Argentine then double the lead in the 19th minute.

PSG star Neymar soon join the action in the 21st minute, there was also a goal for Kylian Mbappe in the 29th minute.

Neymar then scored his second of the night from the Penalty spot in the 43rd minute. After the break, both side made series of substitutions, with players such as Idrissa Gueye, Pablo Sarabia and few Youth teamers getting a run in.

Immediately after the restart, Idrissa Gueye made it 6-0 in favour of PSG in the 50th minute. Sarabia pictured, above scored twice on either side of 18 year old Arnaud Kalimuendo Muinga’s goal to make it 9-0.

PSG will be looking to ease pass Atlanta in the Knock out stages of the UEFA Champions League when both side meet in August.
