Many Manchester United fans across the globe have continually asked the question; “What is the recruitment strategy at Old Trafford?”. With very few of them having an answer to the question.

This article is just an opinion of the writer about what the recruitment process and strategy is at Manchester United.
The club is focused on the signing of players who meet the following requirements.
1. Strictly British
2. Young
3. Talented
4. Have a low market value
5. Posses high return of investment
In times past United have made irrational big money moves for players whom the Club felt were the big game changers and turned out poor for the club.
Examples include the 59.7million pounds shelled out for the signing of former Real Madrid hotshot Angel Dimaria, who had a disappointing spell at Old Trafford, he eventually left the Club for Paris Saint Germain. Memphis Depay who was acquired for a fee in the region of 30 million Euros also had a disappointing season at the club and left in similar fashion to Olympic Lyon.
Other of big names include Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba, the latter who have proven to be very Problematic to the club.
Some of United targets for the summer suggest the above points are valid. Consider these targets;
1. Return of Dean Henderson
The United player on loan at Sheffield United is expected to return to Old Trafford at the beginning of the beginning of next summer. Though multiple reports claim the player will only return if he is guaranteed a starting spot.
2. Signing of Daniel James
Manchester United paid as little as 8 million pounds to sign the 21 year old from Swansea city, this shows that Ed Woodward and his team are focused on turning this united into a young and competent team.
3. Proposed signing of Declan Rice and Jadon Sancho
Manchester United are linked with the signing of Sancho and Rice this summer.
Both players are British and are 19years old, this further shows every keen United fan that the target is to build a young British Talented Manchester United team.
