McGuane, a 1992 All-Australian selection and the winner of two consecutive Copeland Trophies in 1992 and 1993, has been formally welcomed back to Collingwood Football Club. He was considered one of the best in AFL football at the height of his career, in part because of his diligent work with Darren Millane’s trainer, whom Mick approached to assist him with his fitness.
